I HAD SUCH A CRAZY DREAM. i was in the ocean with two other friends, no land in sight. we had a boat and were in the water. we were enjoying ourselves and appreciating the beauty as vastness of the ocean. i looked down and notice a tiny blob in the water, several hundreds of feet down. i recognized it immediately as a great white. i get into the boat as fast as i can and watch the others squirm in the water. at the last moment they realize what's happening. watching them thrash in the water made me nearly have a panic attack, because i knew that was the last thing you're supposed to do. right before it gets in reach, they get onto the platform. the shark swims around us, being far too close for comfort. we recognize the unlikeliness of the situation and catch our breath, thankful for how uneventful the situation was compared to what was possible. i could be misremembering, but what happens next is the shark rams into our boat and knocks us all out into the water. i reorientate myself and look through the water and see my two friends scrambling in the water trying to figure out what to do and i see horrid sea creatures that only the bottom of the ocean could contain, including feet long leaches and a beast with a mouth agape so wide it looked like it would swallow my friends whole. i was a decent length from my friends, but it looked as if the creatures were only 10-20 feet away from them, slowly but surely getting closer. this became too much for me and i had to end my dream on the spot.
This dream could symbolize feelings of vulnerability and fear in your waking life. The ocean represents the vastness and unpredictability of your emotions or circumstances. Being in the water with friends initially reflects a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment, but the appearance of the great white shark signifies a looming threat or danger that you become aware of. Your immediate instinct to get into the boat while watching your friends struggle suggests a desire to prioritize your own safety or self-preservation.
The panic attack you experienced highlights the intensity of your fear and the recognition that thrashing in the water is counterproductive. This can symbolize a need to remain calm and composed in the face of challenges or difficult situations. The shark ultimately swimming around you without attacking highlights the relief of a potentially catastrophic event being avoided. However, the subsequent ramming of the boat and being knocked into the water suggests that the threat has not completely disappeared and you are forced to confront your fears once again.
The appearance of horrifying sea creatures represents the lurking dangers and unknown aspects of your subconscious. The creatures, especially the beast with the wide-open mouth, symbolize the potential to be consumed or overwhelmed by negative emotions or situations. Your friends scrambling in the water and the creatures getting closer indicate the increasing proximity of these fears and the urgent need for a solution or escape.
Overall, this dream could be a reflection of your anxieties and the need to confront and overcome challenging situations while maintaining a sense of composure and calmness. It may also suggest the importance of relying on your own instincts and prioritizing self-preservation in order to navigate through difficult circumstances successfully.
