I was at home getting ready in my bathroom doing my makeup. My mom was sitting on my bed. While doing my makeup on my right eye, all the sudden my eye disappeared. But it wasn’t bloody. Drooping. Nothing. It was just a cave of an eye socket of skin. For some reason I thought I may have swallowed it. Then it happened to my left eye. But I didn’t go blind. I could see in the mirror both my eyes were gone. I went over to my mom and told her I thought I was going through a psychosis state and managed to stay calm telling myself it wasn’t real. Told her I need to be cleansed. Because while looking in the mirror even though I only saw myself without eyes. I could feel something evil staring back at me.
Dreams about losing parts of your body, especially eyes, can be quite unsettling. Here’s a detailed interpretation of your dream:
Loss of the Eyes
- Loss of Vision: Eyes are often associated with perception and insight. Losing them in a dream could symbolize a fear of losing your ability to perceive the truth or to understand something important in your life.
- Self-Reflection: The fact that you were looking in the mirror during this occurrence suggests a period of self-reflection. It may represent concerns about how you perceive yourself or how others see you.
Swallowing the Eyes
- Internalization of Perception: Thinking you may have swallowed your eyes could symbolize internalizing your emotions or perceptions. You might be processing something internally rather than expressing it outwardly.
Presence of Your Mother
- Seeking Support: Your mother’s presence could indicate a desire for support and reassurance. She might represent a safe or comforting figure in your life who you turn to in times of distress.
- Motherly Insight: It might also suggest a need for maternal wisdom or guidance in handling a particular issue.
Calmness and Control
- Staying Calm: Remaining calm in the face of a bizarre situation suggests a strong inner resilience and ability to manage your emotions even when confronted with unexpected challenges.
- Acknowledging Reality: Recognizing the situation as not being real within the dream hints at a strong grip on reality and possibly an awareness of navigating through life's illusions or deceptions.
Cleansing and Evil Presence
- Desire for Cleansing: Needing to be cleansed might point to an underlying wish to rid yourself of negative thoughts, emotions, or energies. It's a desire for renewal or starting fresh.
- Sense of Evil: Feeling something evil staring back could reflect an internal conflict or guilt. There might be aspects of yourself or your life situation that you currently perceive as negative or unsettling and need addressing.
General Analysis
This dream could be indicating a period of personal reflection and the desire for self-discovery. You might be grappling with an internal conflict or a sense that you are not fully in tune with yourself or your surroundings. It may also signify the need for support from those you trust, like your mother, as you navigate through these introspective challenges.
Consider asking yourself what currently feels "blinding" or unclear in your waking life and what steps you might need to take to see things more clearly. The dream encourages self-examination and suggests finding a balance between acknowledging internal fears and seeking external guidance.
