The dream starts somewhat ordinarily. I am with a person who is more or less
a cliche Female-to-male trans person. Stubby hair, feminine looks, high-pitched
voice. We are close friends and we are planning to go on a survival trip in
the woods.
After some confusion we start preparing with backpacks, a tent, gloves, knives,
some fire wood to start with etc. etc. We get a brand new green Subaru Forester
as a vehicle.
But the moment we are on our way, I suddenly must do a delivery. And I must
do it alone. It's multiple customers to serve, but the last one is a bit
more difficult to find. The address leads me to a quiet, secluded alleyway, and
then to a strange looking, somewhat cubic building complex.
At the entrance, the complete front of the building moves as if it was a huge
slide door. I step inside and it already looks like a maze of large rooms with
high ceilings.
Inside, I meet a young lady. I tell her I have a delivery, which turns out to
be a little wooden container with a piece of paper in it. She explains that I
have to deliver it on foot to a far away lake, where the recipient resides.
I refuse, because I have no time: My friend is waiting for me. But she insists.
And she keeps hinting on strange stuff, like, that it won't take any time. When
I am back, it will be as if 5 minutes have passed. And broken legs heal
automatically. I go like "Broken legs? What?" She goes on: "Oh, and if a group
of people are putting you into handcuffs to throw you into a lake, best tense
your muscles, so that you will have room for escape.
I really don't want to do it, but then she comes with a thing that looks a
bit like a TV set and I am being shown a slide show. I see a slideshow of
pictures that look like ancient illustrations on yellowed parchment. Each slide
is narrated as if there are stages of a very long adventure to master.
Fascinated I watch, thinking "At least it will not be boring", having already
decided that I will deliver the wooden box to the lake.
