I viewed my dream in the 3rd person most of the time during this dream, which isn't uncommon for me. It was set in the future, and I was in High school (maybe 10th, 11th, or 12th grade). I was in a new school, one I don't recognize in real life, and I was walking around the hallways. It seemed to me that I was quite popular since so many people were smiling and waving my way. I spotted this boy on the way to my class; he was really good-looking. And, just to put it into perspective, I don’t find any boy good-looking (except for 1 person) in real life. He had dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes, and was fair-skinned. Then, in the dream, I viewed everything in the 1st person. I was able to see my future self’s feelings: uneasiness. Then memories: This boy is much more popular than me because he was good-looking, kind, and smart. Finally, thoughts: I always felt like there was something off about him; he didn’t seem genuinely kind. I was in the 3rd person again. I joined the group of people, since that boy and I are in the same friend group, and they continued talking before class started. I was in the 1st person again. I glanced over at the boy, and he was staring at me before giving me a small smile, which I returned to him too. I was in the 3rd person again. I walked into the classroom and sat down at my desk. The teacher then came in. I don’t remember this part too well, though. Later in the school day, when I was alone, the boy came to me and struck up a conversation. I found it a bit odd but didn’t want to be rude, so I took part in the conversation.

Then, I woke up and thought that would be the end of it. I was wrong. Two days later the dream continued.

The conversation with him had just ended and it seemed like we were on better terms with him. Lunch was about to end, so he waved goodbye and went on his merry way, which I soon did after as well. Then, there was a time-skip of a few weeks. He and I were going to go out to the mall with a few other people, but they all canceled, so we ended up going by ourselves. Which I was fine with since we were closer now. After a few hours at the mall, he told me that there was a beautiful spot that he loves to visit nearby. I was still fairly new to the city, so I agreed to walk there with him. We walked together for at least half an hour to the place. It truly was beautiful, so I told him that. He told me he was glad I liked it and that I deserved to see it. I asked him what he meant by saying I deserved it; it was clear I was confused. He smiled warmly. Then, I went to the 1st person. I felt uneasy again and backed away a little bit, but he grabbed my hand slowly. Even though he was being gentle, his grip seemed strong. He laughed it off and told me that he thought I would cancel since everyone else couldn’t come, and that he was just surprised and wanted to show me something. Then a few moments of silence went by before he added that I was a good girl for doing that. I furrowed my eyebrows and asked him what he just said, in case I misheard. He let go of my hand and patted my head, whispering “good girl” to me. I was in the 1st person again. I felt that he was just teasing me again. Although, I just noticed how tall he was. Especially compared to me. I was only 5’2 and he was at least 6 feet. I was in the 3rd person. I saw myself slap his hand away and roll my eyes. He began laughing, obviously amused. After he calmed down, I was still pouting and had my arms crossed against my chest. He asked me if I wanted to know something, and I asked him what it was. He tilted my head up to him, he looked down at me, and said you belong to me, before kissing my cheek softly. I froze. I was in the 1st person. He went back to normal, and he let go of me. After a few moments, he looked down at me and asked me what was wrong. I yelled, “What was that?” He looked confused and asked me “What was what?” I felt as though I was crazy. Did I just imagine that? “Never mind,” I muttered.

The second dream ended. The next day, the dream continued.

I was in the 3rd person and back at school. The boy and I were still friends; it was obvious I thought THAT never happened, just from looking at me. Later during the day, he whispered to me, “You can’t go out with your friends today.” I was in the 1st person. I furrowed my eyebrows. How does he know about that? Why couldn’t I go? “Why?” I inquired. All he told me was to be good and not go. I ignored him, of course, and went anyway. I was in the 3rd person. The next day, at school, he led me outside during lunch, to the field, which was far from the school. I was in the 1st person. He was smiling, but something felt off about the situation. I was in the 1st person. “Darling,” he began, “I told you not to go, but you went anyway.” How did he know that? He continued: “Do you know how upset I am?” “Wha-” I began, but I froze when he bent down and kissed my cheek. “No talking,” he whispered in my ear, “I have to punish you and then I’ll forgive you.” We were alone, outside. There were no cameras. Nothing. So, my fight, flight, or freeze kicked in and I tried to run away. He grabbed my hand. I looked up at him and he was frowning slightly. This was the first time I’ve ever seen him frown. It scared me. “Bad girl. We’re in the middle of a serious conversation,” he sighed, before smiling again, “Don’t worry. It’s fine. I’ll forgive you for trying to leave. Now, for going out with your friends even though I told you not to, I still have to punish you. It won’t be that bad, I promise. Give me your phone.” I shook my head, trying to escape his grip on my hand, “No. What the hell is wrong with you?” He sighed and repeated, “Give me your phone.” I did nothing. I was in the 3rd person. He groaned, obviously annoyed, before reaching into my pocket and grabbing it. “Give it back,” I demanded. He let go of my hand. “No,” he simply said and walked away.

The third dream had ended, and I had to rush to check if I still had my phone in real life. A few days later, I had another dream about him. It was short.

I was still in the 3rd person. We were in a ginormous park and barely anyone was there. He petted my head and told me what a good girl I was, and that I deserved my phone back. Then, he gave me my phone and gave me a small kiss on my cheek.

The fourth dream had ended. In real life, my thoughts were focused on the mysterious boy in my dreams. In a couple of more days, I had another dream about him.

I was in the 3rd person. I and the boy were back at the ‘beautiful spot.’ He was smiling down at me and told me that he knew that I knew I belonged to him. That I loved him and that he loved me too. He told me that he knew I was all I thought about and that was proof that he controlled me. I was in the 1st person. I knew he was right. Then, I had a sudden headache. The boy held and comforted me to help me calm down. He whispered, “Calm down, darling. You’re just realizing this isn’t real; that you think about me all the time during real life. I need you to wake up, okay? Don’t worry, we’ll meet again. We’ll meet in real life, okay?” Suddenly, he disappeared. “We’ll meet again in real life? This is a dream?” I yelled, even though he was long gone. I was in the 3rd person. Then, everything started to disappear before I did too. That was when I woke up. It’s been about 6 months since then, and I still miss him.
