![Setting is a small town in Spain. A young girl backpacks and settles there for a few days (me). Not one of the bigger cities (Madrid etc) bc this is cheaper. Her first night meets a bunch of cool new ppl, all of them women but doesn't ring a bell. Next morning she uses ATM for money and it malfunction by giving her A LOT of U.S. cash. She takes it. Decides to go back to hotel to figure out next move. Walks along the boardwalk side of the hotel (like in NOLA) which she thinks has more ppl. It doesn't. Every step is nerve-racking. She passes a group of young boys practicing acrobats. Np. She finally gets to front of hotel with a group of young boys throwing a bball around. She finds it odd that tho they are playing they don't seem to know how to actually play. (our main character played). She passes first kid and he immediately drops ball and says some weird word in a language she never heard of as if to say "hey is that you?" Girl sternly but nervously says no you must have the wrong person. Now joined by other kids they repeat the name. Scared now she begin to try to walk faster saying "I, I don't understand what you're saying! I'm not who you're looking for!". They give chase and she ends up in basement of hotel (just pushes thru random open door and ends up there) the boys do not follow. It's dark. Suddenly one man wearing some ancient looking garb comes into view. He approaches slowly laughing maniacally. She backs up in fear and backs into the second man dressed the same who then take her. Next scene she is standing in the middle of the floor in empty room, a fire raging in the corner. Confused she calls out. The men appear accusing her of something and demand that she pay. She is again confused and doesn't know what they are talking about. She considers the money from earlier but they don't act like from this world or like they have any use from modern currency so decides against it and claims innocence and ignorance. The men dance around her claiming she knows what she has taken and must return or pay. Suddenly the fires rages higher and hotter and then goes out. The men stop and just begin to repeat same foreign word the kids did. Over and over but not moving. The girls screams "is it money? Is it money you want?" She is careful to pull out only a 50. "I don't have much but here this may go a long way. It's all I have please let me go" Then men stop suddenly and say "nooooo, nooooo" (kinda like get out when the woman was crying). She drops the 50 and turns to run in opposite direction hoping to get out. Runs into the group of young boys and some kind of altercation ensues. She escapes seemingly easily by lowkey using bball moves (spin, stutter step, etc). Finally she is outside of hotel. It is getting dark and ppl are just bustling about. It's happy hour time. Thankful for the ppl, she sets out opposite from where she came (opp of boardwalk). As she walks a woman approaches, hey are you ok? Main character (let's call her Dudnie for now) replies yeah I'm fine. Woman says u look shook up. Glances down, you're not from here are you. Dudnie says no Im just visiting for a few days then off to explore rest of Europe. The woman replies "well u picked one hell of a town to do it in" statement is loaded with ominous foreshadowing. Dudnie nervously chuckles yeah thx. Woman says well my friends and I are hanging out over here, wanna join us for a drink? Dudnie accepts. Upon approaching group it looks like a bunch of women who just finished playing bball (in their attire such as shirts jerseys bball shorts sneakers). These are all brown n black women. They welcome Dudnie after the woman introduces her and she begins to get acclimated. They drink a lil, laugh, have a good time. Dudnie is happy for distraction but still uneasy. She asks"ladies can I ask you a question?" Sure! They say. What's up? "Ok this may sound weird and please don't judge me but what does [ancient word here] mean?" The women all stop suddenly, a different mood coming over them. One asks "where did you hear that" Dudnie stammers "i-i don't know. From earlier today. It...You know what forget it. I probably heard it wrong anyway" the woman who first came up to her goes to Dudnie and says "hey listen, it's gonna be alright. You are not going crazy and you DID NOT hear that wrong" she begins to explain the history of the town. How it came under attack long long ago and all the men went into the fields to fight and never returned. When realizing this, the women began to fend for themselves and also built up an army of sorts. Was only a matter of time before the town was attacked again as their enemies (all men tribe) felt that they were severely weakened now that the army was all female. They were wrong. The women fought ferociously and bravely but most important intelligently and strategically and defeated the enemy in resounding fashion. They enemy in retreat vowed to get revenge on what they referred to as the [ancient word here] ppl. However news spread that these ppl had defeated the enemy that had long been terrorizing the region and they were not only celebrated but protected. To be called the ancient name was a badge of honor and pride. They all became one region. The ancient ppl began to take up men again but their purpose always took precedent. If they chose to bear children, it was purely up to them, or they could choose instead to uphold the honor and role of battle and protection. The men that they took up soon began to feel less than and many chose to leave. Those that left secretly joined with the enemy tribe and began to create a new world order whose main purpose was to dismantle the ancient women ppl. This group of men over the years and years grew to a large number as they operated underground. They tried to engage the women in battle a few times but always lost. The ancient women though recognized that the enemy was getting stronger and stronger and made the choice to desert all their men for fear they had been compromised (not the whole region just the ancient women protector group). They remained this way for years steadfast in their mission to protect. Unbeknownst to them, one of younger ones still kept in touch with her bae bc she couldn't bear to drop him cold turkey as the others had so long ago. She loved him deeply and he loved her as well...or so she thought. Unbeknownst to her, he was actually one of the enemy leaders and knew that thru her, they would finally be able to infiltrate the ancient women and destroy them once and for all. She rose in ranks within the group and he was able to collect increasingly meaningful intel. After a few years working undercover and collecting information they finally had enough to go on. They attacked and the woman found out she had been betrayed. The ancient women were defeated but many survived and scattered about the region never to rise up to their true power and potential again. As Dudnie stood there amazed and in awe the woman continued "you are standing in the very same town where that epic battle happened so many generations ago" she replied "that's cool and all but what does that have to do with me? I'm just passing through!" The woman looked around her group of friends and solemnly replied "we are all decendants of the great [ancient word] ppl. The men who came after you today, they believe that you have the ancient blood in your veins as well. As I stand next to you, I can sense the power from deep within you as well. More power than I have ever felt before. It is no mistake that you have come here. Your destiny has brought here. Dudnie, I believe YOU are the chosen one". Dudnie looked around at the women (btw these are mostly women I've played ball with lol) who gazed upon her with adulation, pride, and purpose and it became too overwhelming. "no" she said, "there has to be some mistake. I am no hero, nothing like the fierce women u just described! Im just a broke traveler trying to backpack my way thru europe. I'm telling u, Im not who ur looking for I am not your chosen one!" Just then, another woman runs up to the group in a panic and yells "they are coming, they're coming". Dudnie asks "what's going on, who is they??" The woman leader turns to Dudnie and says "follow me!" They go inside the home adjacent to where the group was gathered. She points Dudnie to a closet and says "quick hide in there. There is a secret side compartment (she shows Dudnie how it works) they will never find you there. Just use the same move when you're ready to come out" and with that she turns to leave. Dudnie happily goes into the closet mumbling the whole time "oh hell no these bitches got me fucked up. Chosen one my ass. Idk what the hell is going on but first thing in the morning I'm outta here." As Dudnie stands in the closet she recalls the story of the ancient women and her own battle from earlier that day. She simultaneously hears all these noises outside and something compels her to take a step outside. She looks around and finds she is inside a small Spanish style home that is modestly furnished. Alone in the home, she walks around to see amazing artifacts that are pristinely kept yet look like nothing of this world. She is beckoned towards a suit of armor and reaches out to touch it. Suddenly she is quickly filled with memories of the past all the way up to present day. She backs away from the armor and crumbles to her knees breathing heavily. She looks up with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Once outside Dudnie searches for the group of women she was with but cannot find them. As she runs thru the town a police car pulls up and 2 officers one white one black jump out and guns drawn asking her to freeze with her hands up. She complies. White officer yells I said freeze. Confused Dudnie raises arms higher as if to say I am officer. Finally he yells "I said freeze. Stop resisting!" and pulls the trigger. Dudnie is shot by a taser type weapon and immediately falls to the ground. She recognizes the weapon as the same one the young boys terrorized her with as she was escaping the hotel earlier. The black officer reaches her first and whispers "at the right moment just press down on the red button (on the taser part that's in ur body) and it will release you" Dudnie, nods in agreement grateful for the tip. As the white cop approaches he exclaims "u saw that right? She didn't follow my instructions and I felt that our lives were in danger!" As the white officer reached to pull her up, Dudnie activates the release mechanism, elbows the officer and easily slips out of the black officers grasp. She turns the corner and escapes into the nearest building. Inside she realizes she's in a bar surrounded by lesbian white women. They are all basically dressed in plaid, funky hairstyles, like Melissa ethridge, shane from L Word and Stef from the fosters all threw up in there. As Dudnie tries to escape deeper into the crowd, the 2 cops enter. She turns to see where they are and finds that they are held up at the entrance not by any security or anything but bc they are talking to the first few women in the front in an apologetic tone. Dudnie continues to watch in awe as the white officers body language shows complete submission to the women as he apologizes hat in hand for disrupting the womens evening and turns to leave. It's at this time it dawns on Dudnie that these women must be part of some protected class. It is therefore imperative that she find sympathizers among them to help the ancient ppl rise to prominence once again. Suddenly the lights go off and an announcer approaches stage lights flickering around her (it's the girl who played precious). "And now the moment you've been waiting for, she says, here to perform for you tonight...KANYE WEST! The crowd goes nuts and he begins to perform with precious not far from where Dudnie is standing. As precious leaves the stage she falls into Dudnies arms. Are you alright? She replies yeah I'm fine as she is on hands and knees on floor looking for something. She finally finds something and stands up. At this moment Dudnie can see her attaching a pin back onto her lapel made of the same material as the ancient artifacts she had seen back at the house. About same time, a skinny bald black guy frantically approaches them and goes to precious and says "hey girl omg r u ok?? I felt something was wrong!" Precious dusts herself off and tells him "no I'm fine, I just lost the pin for a moment there and felt myself getting weaker. I'm fine now" "Mm hmm and WHO is this?"
