Please help, as if this disorder isn’t crazy already, I currently feel like I’m literally going insane! I keep having horrifying “dreams” I’m being chased by bats. It is so scary and an hour ago I woke up and jumped out of bed screaming. Now the “sight” of them just happened again. Therefore it doesn’t go away even when I go back to sleep. When I wake my eyes literally see them swarming everywhere and I’ve even opened my eyes and looked at my pillow case and saw it covered in little black dots. I don’t know if I’m going crazy. I’m not someone who dreams or tracks dreams or even believes in that! There’s no other thoughts before, no storyline, there’s just bats just swarming at me extremely fast😩 Are there any dream readers? Are there meds that are common with this behavior?
I'm not a mental health professional, but I can offer some insights based on dream interpretation. Dreams can be highly subjective and personal, so it's important to remember that the meaning of a dream can vary depending on the individual. In this case, the recurring dream of being chased by bats could potentially symbolize feelings of fear, anxiety, or a sense of being pursued by something in your waking life.
The intensity of the dream, where you wake up screaming and continue seeing the image even when awake, suggests that this dream might be triggering a strong emotional response. It could indicate that there are underlying anxieties or stressors in your life that are causing distress.
As for the reference to "this disorder," it's unclear from your statement what disorder you're referring to. However, if you're experiencing consistent and distressing dreams that are interfering with your well-being, it may be helpful to seek guidance from a mental health professional. They can assess your specific situation and potentially provide appropriate recommendations or treatment options, which could include therapy or medication if necessary.
Remember, dream interpretation is highly subjective, and it's important to consider other factors in your life that might contribute to the dream's meaning. Consulting with a professional can help you gain a deeper understanding of your experiences and provide appropriate support.
