I was barefoot and topless quickly walking towards a goal in a busy city. My high school crush urged me to go more quickly and take a safer way. Me and two girls I knew in the dream went down into a train station. When i got there I was wearing a shirt but no shoes. They had a new law that you had to chew glass to get on the train. The old law dictated that you just had to spit into a machine, which one of the girls wanted to trick that machine. There was the station to chew glass- it had four seperate tables, and each table had three cups. One with glass to chew, one to spit the glass, and a third of water to swish the glass out of you mouth. Each station had a train station attendant to make sure you didn't try anything funny. I had a feeling this had something to do with drugs. After I chewed, spit, and swished the glass the attendant at my station made a joke about how I wouldn't want to drink water after. I was picking small pieces of glass and coughing feeling them in the back of my throat when I woke up. When I woke up the back of my throat was in pain, as if I had swished a bit of glass water in my mouth.
Dreams often symbolize underlying emotions, desires, and fears. In this dream, being barefoot and topless may represent vulnerability and a sense of being exposed in the busy city. The presence of your high school crush urging you to go quickly and take a safer way could suggest a desire for their validation or approval.
Entering the train station with two girls you know may symbolize companionship, but it also introduces the theme of rules and laws. The new law requiring chewing glass could be a metaphor for a challenging task or obstacle in your waking life. The old law involving spitting into a machine could indicate a desire to find a loophole or a sneaky way to bypass rules.
The train station attendant represents the authority figure or conscience inside you, ensuring that you follow the rules. The feeling that this may have something to do with drugs suggests a possible connection to temptations or risky behaviors in your waking life.
Chewing glass, spitting it out, and swishing it with water may symbolize a process of going through a difficult or painful experience in order to progress. The attendant's joke about not drinking water afterward may imply that there are consequences or lingering discomfort associated with taking risks or engaging in certain behaviors.
The pain in the back of your throat upon waking could be a physical manifestation of the emotional discomfort caused by these symbolic actions. It's possible that your subconscious mind is warning you to be careful about the choices you make and the risks you take.
Overall, this dream suggests a need to navigate challenges, understand potential consequences, and approach situations with caution. It may reflect your internal struggle between taking risks and seeking security or following the rules.
