So in my dream I went to this school carnival. when I got there I saw my few friends with other people so I sat by myself. I was by myself the whole. then when it was time to leave my mom came to pick me up and when she arrived she talked to my friends. I walked up to her and we turned and left. While we were walking she said “I’m worried about you. You don’t hang out with anyone anymore.” I shrugged and didn’t say anything. Then the dream cuts to our graduation. I didn’t walk the stage and just sat outside alone the whole time calling mom that I want to just go home. Then my friend Jonathan and an acquaintance named Alex who’s Jonathan’s friend came and sat next to me. I said “hey what’s up”. Jonathan said “you looked so sad sitting here alone we couldn’t just let you be alone the whole time.” And I said “oh thanks.” And Alex said “why didn’t you walk” and I said “because I don’t deserve it I’m not smart I’m not talented plus I have no friends so why would I even care about walking” and Jonathan said “well mr Zarchy (my orchestra teacher) said you were gonna do great things in life and that you’re very talented and that he can’t wait to see what you do in life.” And that made me a little happy but it also upset because it made me feel like he was the only one who thought that. Then my mom came over and I introduced her Alex but forgot his name while doing so. Then I woke up
This dream appears to reflect some feelings of isolation, self-doubt, and the desire for validation and connection. The setting of the school carnival symbolizes a place of social interaction and enjoyment, but you find yourself sitting alone throughout. This may suggest a sense of loneliness or feeling left out in your waking life.
When your mom arrives to pick you up, her comment about being worried about you not hanging out with anyone anymore further emphasizes this feeling of isolation. It is possible that you may be experiencing changes in your social dynamics or feeling disconnected from your friends.
Skipping the graduation ceremony in the dream could represent a lack of self-confidence or feeling unworthy of recognition and achievement. The fact that you called your mom to express your desire to go home indicates a desire to retreat from the situation.
The appearance of your friend Jonathan and the acquaintance Alex later on in the dream shows that you still have some connections and support, even if you may not always realize or feel it. Their presence and concern for you indicate that there are people who care about you, even when it seems like you are alone.
The mention of your orchestra teacher's encouraging words adds a touch of hope and validation. It symbolizes that there are individuals who believe in your abilities and potential, which can be uplifting. However, the conflicting emotions of happiness and sadness suggest that you may have difficulty fully accepting or internalizing these positive perceptions.
Forgetting Alex's name when introducing him to your mom could show some social anxiety or uncertainty about your interactions with others. It may reflect a fear of not being able to form connections or maintain relationships.
Overall, this dream suggests that you may be grappling with feelings of isolation, self-doubt, and a desire for validation and connection in your waking life. It could be beneficial to seek support from friends, family, or trusted individuals who can provide reassurance and help you navigate these emotions.
